"Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. This testimony of faith is what previous generations were commended for. Faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen."
Hebrews 11:1-3 TBT Have you ever had one of those days when you feel as though you've had fear come at you with all of it's ugly face? Me too. Today was like that. It's the beginning of the spring season, which also means changes in weather, lots of weather, including big storms and possible tornados etc. I can tell you, I'm so thankful that my family prays against storms, we stand up and rebuke them! Today was no different than any other when I saw and heard about the storms that were possible in the area. Then the tornado sirens began, and continued to come, and the weather radio was going off about every 5 minutes or less. If anything, it was a constant reminder of what you could see in the physical for sure. Normally, I see rain as a welcome and even enjoy the gray skies. It's a feeling of calm, including listening to rain and even thunder at night. It puts me right to sleep. As I was hearing the weather radio one more time, and the tornado sirens going off, it said it was coming in our direction. I've seen tornados across the miles in front of me, or even down my street, had funnels go right over my house more than once and never felt fear. I know who I am in Christ, and I know I am in Him, and He holds me in every storm. Today, as I was watching clouds and wind come in quickly, I saw loose clouds begin to turn right in front of my neighbor's house and I then began to feel fear try to drop like a weight. I had a choice at that moment, and from within my spirit I began to command this cloud to dissipate and lift, to leave in Jesus name. I felt fear still hanging around, but I gave it no attention. In fact, it did the opposite. I actually got mad at the storm, and I began to yell at it. I'm sure if my neighbors could hear me, they may have wondered what was all the yelling about. I watched as the clouds lifted and they continued to pass over. My family called, we continued to pray and the storms continued to part and pass. I love that even my husband was at such peace during it all. It's not just the storms that we stand in faith about, we're called to stand in faith for every promise that God has given us, and that faith is as solid as the promise itself. It's as good as done. God keeps every single word He gives. Not one will fall. He's 100% faithful and trustworthy 100% of the time. Faith pleases God, and it empowers us. Trust, it's like walking in faith and then letting go. It's a full knowing. You are full of the faith that Christ had and has. He has given us His faith. Be the one He sees you as, more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, a child of God, part of His family. Today was a great reminder that we keep standing.
