"And just as sin reigned through death, so also this sin-conquering grace will reign as king through righteousness, imparting eternal life through Jesus, our Lord and Messiah!"
Romans 5:21 TPT What an incredible gift we've been given. We are made new - a new life! I was reading this week in Romans, and just re-reminded all over again about how I was given such a precious gift, and how I operate in faith vs. the law. God's grace is totally sufficient. He reminds me that I am to believe by faith, and as I do God imparts to my account righteousness. Isn't that incredible? He's done all the work. I've had days where I don't feel new life, and all I think I see is myself failing. Then I get reminded all over again to have new eyes to see and ears to hear, what the Lord says and keeps saying. We are not that person anymore, we are transformed. There is nothing from my old life that I should try to hang onto. Every time I start looking backwards, I get my eyes off the present, and what's right in front of me. It's happened way too many times. You know what it's like? It's like driving a car in reverse, and we know that doesn't work very well. When we start staring in the rear view mirror, all we can think about are the failures, the "why not's", the "should haves" and so on. Then we began to feel disappointed, discouraged, as we begin to forget who we are in Christ. The only way to live that new life is to believe by faith that we've been crucified with Christ, raised from the dead with Him, and that He has joined us to himself. That is the part that just blows my mind. Wow!! How He loves us!! We become alive as we believe the Truth - He says we cannot be separated from Him! It's time to live in peace and in joy - not just because of our circumstances, but because of reigning with Christ. Manifest this life giving life to others around you. Let others know the love of God and new life by living out what He gave us! Let's get ready this December for the beginning of a New Year, and live this new life, with God doing new things. Let's partner with Him on this amazing adventure. Misty L. Chladek |
