"Break open your word within me until revelation-light shines out! Those with open hearts are given insight into your plans."
Psalm 119:130 TPT Did you know that darkness is just the void of light? In other words, where light fills a room, darkness can't invade it and overcome it. Where light exists, darkness cannot stay. Even the smallest amount of light has removed darkness. As a believer, we are filled with the Light of the World. Have you ever experienced a time where the Lord felt far away, or all you felt was heaviness and darkness around you? How is it possible to have the Light of the World in you, and yet feel far away and only see darkness? The truth is, and as we've learned, that the Lord is with us, and never leaves us. It is possible to know this in our heads, but not receive it in our hearts. When we listen to and come in agreement with what the enemy says about who we are, it will feel very dark around us and overwhelming. Our vision changes, and we begin to hear guilt, shame and condemnation. These are all voices that have actually been defeated already, and we don't have to listen to them or agree with them. The accuser, the enemy of our lives doesn't want us to know that we are already victorious and who we are in Christ. I've been there, listening to the wrong voices, and not remembering who I am in Christ, or the freedom that Christ gave me! All it takes to change the atmosphere is to look at Jesus, and come in agreement with who He says you are. He brings the clarity, and the change in your heart. Get out of agreement with the accuser, and choose to listen to Life! When all we hear in the media and news is defeated, and negative this is the voice that we feed. We will reflect and become what we feed the most. I'm just now reminded of a verse that speaks to this: "For God still has ordained a day for us to enter into called “Today.” For it was long afterwards that God repeated it in David’s words,
'If only today you would listen to his voice and do not harden your hearts!'” Hebrews 4:7 TPT We have a choice to enter God's rest, by believing all that He says, all that He does. We can hear His voice, as we get our hearts and minds still. I love what Amy Kirk shared recently, in our live interview. She shared about how she learned to engage the Lord and develop her relationship with Him, as she creates with Him. (Check out our interview that was on Facebook live right here.) As we come in agreement with the Light of the World, and let His light flood out of us we will live in God's rest as He promised us. Total peace, total joy even in the middle of the storm. Misty L.
