EMBRACE THE NEW...

We are blessed with a new season and for many it stirs up the desire to make new changes, resolutions and begin things afresh.  It's been on my mind a lot, especially learning new things, processes and new ideas to share in the Community, but I'm also reminded it's more than replacing the old with something new.

I was reminded of that today actually.  When we are made new in Christ, and old things are passed away, that doesn't mean we just replace an old way of thinking with a new way of thinking.  We are transformed, as we encounter the God of the universe, and begin a relationship with Him.  That is far more than just replacing an idea, or believing something new.  That is an entirely new life.

The Lord has totally set us free to create with Him, learn from Him, know Him and it's so important that we don't substitute that precious time together with the Lord with just another great book or video.  Those are just tools, but not the goal.

I believe as a creative myself, God uses what he shows us and gives us to transform and change the very atmosphere we live in.  For example, if I only copied what I saw others do, it wouldn't be an original design of my own.  Our time with the Lord is the same.  If we only change our beliefs based on what others are doing or saying, we can stay stuck, and it's just a new pattern we learn.

As we spend time with the Father, and are transformed, and learn from Him and share what He gives us we can inspire and encourage others to do the same - encounter Him.  Brings others to an encounter with the Creator of the universe - not just a new idea.  This is true freedom and life!

Let's be originals, completely who we were created to be.
