"When I told my story, you responded; train me well in your deep wisdom. Help me understand these things inside and out so I can ponder your miracle-wonders."
Psalm 119:26-27 MSG We live in a world that defines wisdom by how much knowledge we acquire and how we use it, as the Body of Christ, we have sometimes adopted this definition as well, but I would like to challenge that. The wisdom of God goes much deeper to the heart and spirit allowing us to express the creative side of God within us which brings practical solutions to questions and concerns we encounter on a day to day basis. I have found this to be true for my life. When I tell my story, to GOD, He responds, and he begins this amazing thing, he trains me in the knowledge of what deep wisdom actually is and as time moves I begin to understand not only myself, but the miraculous wonder of transformation. When I put words to my life it empowers me to understand not only the things inside, but it gives me the ability to ponder the perspective of heaven. When I am able to tell my story, in other words, be real with God and others I am living in a place of truth. I am being honest with who I am, and upholding a state of honor. This is integrity, which in turn is a state of God's character revealed through me. It has taken me a long time to trust God with the words of my story. It sounds silly, I know, because he knows everything about me. He made me! But, there's something about that raw honesty of a story, even with God that takes creativity, time, honesty, and trust. At least for me it has. I had to let go of fear, and believe that being creative with my life was part of Gods wisdom over me. My story, who I am, reveals my Heavenly Father, and it is through creative expression I can bring his love alive to others. This is wisdom. Being creative is the very essence of wisdom. Who is God? Creator! Imaginative, Originator, Inspirative, Visionary. So, train me well in your deep wisdom, Lord Jesus, in your extraordinary wisdom. When I come to you in the early morning light, as I speak words of life show me how to live this day with integrity. Let every word that comes out of my mouth be words of truth that reveal who you are. May I have your perfect understanding of the story I am telling, and the perspective to see the miracles that you have so lovingly inserted into my story without me even knowing. Train my mouth, Father to nurse every word I speak with your creativity, so that others are inspired to see you and your tender love. Create in me the desire to imagine more, envision beyond what is, and never fear the original. What is the story God is waiting to hear from you today? Have you asked him for his heavenly perspective on the story that weighs on your heart? Are you willing to let him train you in his deep wisdom? Bethany Looyenga - Guest BloggerMy name is Bethany.
